Community Involvement
Mandatory Community Involvement – 40 Hours
Every Ontario student who begins high school after September 1, 1999 will complete 40 hours of community involvement activities in order for your child to receive a graduation diploma.
Some eligible activities include:
* an event or activity to support not-for profit agencies, institutions or foundations
* structured programs to promote tutoring, mentoring, visiting, coaching whose purpose is to assist others
* participation in an activity that supports work of a global nature
Have your child contact their local secondary school for more information and to pick-up their Community Involvement Acquisition Sheet.
